Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter of Richard McCormick. She was born August 5th 1956 on the outskirts of Woodland Hills California. Her parents were her mother, who was a housewife and a father who worked as a teacher. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three elder brothers. McCormick was an accomplished singer and performer from the age of 6. She put on shows with puppets for the neighbors. When she was just six years old, older, she was crowned her first prize in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency phoned and asked if she would like to enter show business. McCormick was chosen to play in her first big performance in 1964 on the tv spot for Mattels latest doll Baby Pattaburp. A year later she was a guest on another company's Chatty Cathy Doll and was immediately selected for her role in the La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp And ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was one of 1200 children for the part of the eldest daughter to be a part of The Brady Bunch. The show starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed who were newlyweds with the same family as a blended one. The series lasted 5 years. McCormick wrote in her 2008 memoir Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice that she was close to having losing her virginity in the fifth season of the show to Barry Williams, her co-star and brother on screen. The actress was only 16 when the incident occurred and he was just 19. She said that it would be possible, however we didn't have the proper time to do it.
